These are the General Terms and Conditions of Dufay, a one-woman business founded according to laws of the Netherlands. The General Terms and Conditions of Dufay apply to all offers, products, orders, agreements and deliveries of Dufay. When you place an order for an article, you agree to these terms and conditions. Web shop purchases
You can place an order with Dufay by clicking on any item you wish on the website. When you click on a product, it will be placed in your “shopping bag”. You can check the items in your “shopping bag” and make changes if necessary. As soon as your “shopping bag” is to your liking, you can click on the cash register button. This will automatically generate an electronic order form with the desired items. Once you have completed the order form, including the payment details, you can click on “Continue” which will take you to a secure environment to complete the financial transaction. The financial transaction will complete the ordering process. After your order has been processed, Dufay will send you an e-mail confirming your order. If a product is not in stock, we will contact you as soon as possible in order to return the amount paid. The purchase agreement is included in this e-mail. This agreement shall be considered to be concluded in the Netherlands. Dufay reserves the right to refuse a transaction process and /or services to anyone, for any reason whatsoever and at its own discretion.
Prices and information about the website
The prices on the website are inclusive of VAT. The total price stated on the order and the electronic order form contains the price inclusive of shipping costs. All customs / import / local duties are for the account of the customer. The duties stated above are not included in the price. The prices are subject to change at any moment. Changes in the prices will influence the amount to be paid in a concluded purchase agreement as confirmed by Dufay by e-mail. Although all the information in regard to prices, specifications etc. is placed on the website with the utmost care, Dufay cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information. Dufay is not bound to the issuance of any orders that were placed on the basis of incorrect information displayed on the website. Certain links on the website provide access to other websites and sources of information that are exploited and maintained by third parties. Dufay has no control over these sites and accepts no liability whatsoever in regard to the content of these sites.
Payment
Payment can take place via credit card, PayPal or iDeal. By using a certain credit card (number), you confirm that the credit card being used is yours. The owed amount will be debited from your account when your order is accepted by Dufay. All credit card holders are subject to controls and validation permission from the credit card company. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to allow a payment to be made to Dufay, we will delay the delivery and take up contact with you. In this case, Dufay is not liable for any delay or non-delivery. Credit card information is processed by way of a SSL (secure socket layer) connection. Dufay is not liable for any misuse of this information by third parties.
Delivery
Dufay shall make every effort to deliver all purchases within a period of five business days. Dufay is no liable if the delivery takes place after this time. Dufay has the right to deliver the order up to thirty days after the order was placed without being held in default by the customer. When this term is exceeded, the customer shall receive a written confirmation. The customer can then dissolve the purchase agreement free of charge. The customer will then receive, as soon as possible and ultimately within 30 days after dissolution, the paid amount back.
Deliveries are handled by PostNL/DHL courier. If the courier is unable to make the delivery on his/her first attempt, he/she shall leave a message behind stating when the second delivery attempt shall take place. This process is repeated again and after this, PostNL/DHL shall contact you in regard to your delivery preferences; (deliver to another address, return to sender). All items are insured by Dufay until the moment they are delivered at your address. Any possible complaints about the condition of the delivered goods (including missing parts) must be communicated to Dufay by e-mail or telephone at the address above ultimately two business days after receipt of the goods.
Returns & Exchanges
The right of withdrawal applies to our products that are not made-to-measure as described in the Consumer Rights Directive. You have the right to inform us within 14 days after receipt if you would like to make use of your right of withdrawal. We recommend that you contact our Customer Service department in this regard.
Once you have informed us that you would like to make use of this right, you have 14 days to return the product and in these cases, the return shipping costs are for the account of the customer. The full purchase amount, including (standard) shipping costs for the delivery shall be paid back by Dufay as quickly as possible within 14 days after the agreement has been dissolved.

Liability
The liability towards the buyer is limited to the amount of the purchase price. Dufay is never liable for any loss of profit or goodwill or any form of consequential damage.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
The laws of the Netherlands shall apply. Any disputes in regard to a purchase and sale agreement to which these terms and conditions apply shall only be brought before the Court in Amsterdam, unless Dufay chooses to have the dispute brought before the competent court of the place of residence of the buyers.
